Martingale System

Martingale system is probably one of the most poplar and the simplest strategy in the roulette.

How to bet

Player bets all the time one of the following bets (for e.g. red color)

1-18 Even Red Black Odd 19-36

Martingale strategy is based on progression rule. Player in case of loss doubles previous bet and place it on the same event again until winning bet occurs. After win player bets base unit again.

Example

Player:

  1. bets $1 Base unit on red
  2. loses, bets $2 Double previous bet ($1 x 2) on red
  3. loses, bets $4 Double previous bet ($2 x 2) on red
  4. loses, bets $8 Double previous bet ($4 x 2) on red
  5. wins $16, and starts with base unit again – bets $1 on red

In this case player has invested 1 + 2 + 4 + 8 = $15, and won $16.

Martingale system in based on assumption that eventually the red color will occur. It requires a lot of patience and quite big funds – there is quite big probability, that red color won’t occurs even for a dozen or so games
